Editing the Dentascribe’s pre-built templates is a great way to start personalising Dentascribe to suit your needs.
1. Open the Template Library
Go to Template Library → Notes. Here you’ll find all of Dentascribe’s pre-built templates and any templates you’ve imported.
2. Edit a template
Click the icon to open the editor.
Dentascribe will show the template and an AI editing sidebar on the right. In this guide, we’ll focus on the AI editing sidebar because it’s the easiest way to make changes.
3. Describe your changes in plain English
- Click the Ask AI button to select the section you want to edit.
- Describe your changes in plain English. For example, “Shorten the diet history section”, “Remove the OH line”.
- After each change, Dentascribe will show you a preview. If you want to make additional changes, just describe them, or click Undo all to reset the changes and start again.
- When you’re happy with the result, click Keep changes to confirm and save.
Editing manually
The AI editing sidebar is the easiest way to make changes to your template. However, if you’d prefer to edit your templates manually, you can do so by clicking Make changes to open the editing sidebar.
Manual editing lets you make more granular changes to your template and gives you full control. There are many options when editing manually—more than we can explain here. The best way to learn is to try it out.
