Generating Note Sections

Learn how to use a transcript to generate specific sections of your clinical notes, whilst keeping your existing workflow.

There are two ways to use Dentascribe’s AI audio notes: generate full notes, and generate specific sections.

This guide will show you how to generate specific sections of a note. It’s perfect for when you prefer your nurse to record examinations and further investigations, but you want AI to write up your long history taking and discussions.

1. Start with a Clickable Note

Begin by opening a clickable note and completing it as you normally would, either by yourself or with the help of your nurse.

2. Transcribe Your Appointment

Whilst you’re clicking through your template, you can transcribe you’re appointment. The transcript can then be used to generate sections within your note.

Look at our guide for transcribing appointments for more information.

3. Generate a Section With AI

When you want to generate a section:

  1. Click the icon next to any section header
  2. Dentascribe will analyse your transcript and generate text for the section.

The video above shows generating a discussion, but you can generate any other section in the same way.

4. Review and Accept the Text

The AI-generated content will appear as a preview.

  1. To accept: Click the text to add it directly to your note.
  2. To regenerate: If you’re not happy with the output, simply click the icon again for a new version.

The AI is designed to prioritise information you have entered yourself and will not remove or overwrite options you have already clicked yourself.

Which Sections Work Best?

AI generation works particularly well for:
