Dentascribe is a web-based platform that runs entirely in your browser, designed to work seamlessly with your existing practice management system. You can create a comprehensive clinical note in minutes, with no downloads or account setup required.

1. Enter your encryption key

Open app.dentascribe.uk in your browser. On first open, you’ll be asked to enter your encryption key. This keeps your notes secure and private. Paste your organisation key if you have one, or enter your personal key.

2. Create a new appointment and choose a template

From the dashboard, create a new appointment.

Pick one of our pre-built templates that matches your appointment. Click “Open” to load it in the editor.

3. Fill in the note

Work through the template by clicking the relevant clinical options and typing any additional details into the text fields. You can also use Smart Dictation wherever free text is needed.

Dentascribe automatically saves your progress as you go, so you don’t have to worry about losing your document.

4. Copy and paste into your practice system

When your note is complete, click the “Copy” button. You’ll also preview your note. Notice that unfilled lines are automatically removed, keeping your note clean and professional.

Paste the note straight into your own practice management system. Make any final adjustments if needed, and save the record as you normally would. Dentascribe is designed to work with all dental software systems, including Software of Excellence, Dentally, R4, and others.
