I’ve been using Dentascribe for a few weeks now having also previously used Kiroku and Heidi. It has been by far the most impressive and intuitive notes software I’ve found. I like that you can input your own templates, and how easily you switch between clicking quick pre-selected responses and free text entry for those cases where you need to write something specific.
I’ve recently been experimenting with the AI transcription feature and have been really impressed with how accurately it transcribes what you’ve said, and then generates a succinct summary to input into your notes. You can customise how much detail it captures in this, which is useful when switching between, e.g., a complex consent appointment or a simple exam. I also love the feature that lets you just hold the spacebar and talk and it will enter, transcribe and summarise what you’ve written.
It’s very closely aligned with UK based guidelines and conventions, which makes it much easier to acclimatise to and use from Day 1. It’s also continuously being updated and you can genuinely see it improving week to week.
